Hi again!
This post is just a few tips on building a resume! I hope it helps!
Every Tuesday my business fraternity meets, and we always have little presentations to kick off the meeting. Last week's presentation was especially helpful to everyone in every major. It was on building a resume! Resumes are so important and no matter where you go, a prospective employer will want to see it.
It's never too late to add onto your resume. I'm sure you've all heard this before, but it is so important to get involved, keep up your GPA, develop skills (like languages), and volunteer. Employers love to see that you are involved in many different things, much like colleges like to see on applications.
Although that stuff might be review, I did learn some things that I didn't know. One of these things is that after freshman year, all of your high school activities, GPA, honors, etc. should be removed from your resume. Also, some employers like to see an "objective statement" on your resume. This statement is personalized for the job or position that you desire. It is your goal.
The other thing that the upperclassmen could not stress enough seems obvious, but is so so important: DO NOT LIE. Don't say you had an internship somewhere if you didn't, don't say you were captain of a sports team if you weren't, and don't say you speak fluent French when you do not. It will all come back to bite you!
I would not have known most of this, had I not attended this meeting and learned from other students' experiences. The experiences of others have already taught me so much. Upperclassmen are such great resources and I can't wait to learn more from them in the future. Have a good day!

i love how informative this blog is about resumes. a resume is something that everyone will eventually need for their career. since careers are becoming so competitive to get, having the best and most accurate resume is something everyone needs. this post is very informative and gives a ton of good information about resumes. good post.
