This blog is intended to teach myself, as well as others, about the many different career options in the business field. I will focus on answering questions, gathering information on a variety of possible professions, and writing about my findings. I am sure that my future career will deal with business because I possess great organizational skills, time management skills, and I am good at following directions closely. Hi there! My name is Jessica Filbin, and I am a freshman at MSU! I was born in Arizona and grew up in Michigan, but I have moved around quite a bit... Seven times to be exact. I have two younger siblings so I grew up being responsible and caring.
I love to travel and am open to change. I love making new friends, trying new things, and making people laugh. I am very organized, trustworthy, and driven to succeed. I try to step outside of my comfort zone as much as possible and make myself available to new opportunities. I excel in math, and I like to think that I have that extra bit of common sense that some people do not possess. For these reasons, I feel like I would love a job in the business field! School is very important to me. Academics come first, and I am excited to continue my education at MSU. As a student, I am very detail-oriented, punctual, organized, and motivated. Getting my work done ahead of time is always a goal of mine, as it is a great feeling to be on top of things. Aside from competing at a national level in competitive gymnastics for 14 years, I maintained a 3.75 GPA in high school, was a member of the National Honor Society, was a member of the varsity track and cheerleading teams, and was a freshman mentor.
I love to be involved while still staying on top of things academically. As I learn more about the business field and begin to narrow my focus, I will share my findings with you every step of the way!
